Green Campus
A green campus is a place where environmentally friendly practices and education combine to promote sustainable and eco-friendly practices on campus. The green campus concept offers an institution the opportunity to take the lead in redefining its environmental culture and developing new paradigms by creating sustainable solutions to the environmental needs of mankind. The authority of JCPSC follows the philosophy of a green campus. To implement the green campus concept, the authority of JCPSC has taken several initiatives.
Major green campus initiatives include the following:
• Planting environmentally suitable trees and flower plants like marigold and sunflower.
• Placing a solar panel on the rooftop of the school building.
• An effective waste management system
• Reducing e-waste.
• Reducing the use of polyethene on campus.
• Instituting a school garden.
• Involving students in gardening and waste management.
• Using more LEDs than CFLs.
Digital Multimedia Class
The JCPSC authority fully understands that multimedia activities encourage students to work in groups and to express their knowledge in multiple ways; they can also help them bridge learning barriers by revising their work and constructing knowledge-based learning. The advantages of integrating multimedia in the classroom are many. Acknowledging that the JCPSC authority has decided to adopt multimedia in all classrooms. 80% of the work has been done, and the complete digitalization of the campus will be completed within months. Authorities have bought multimedia equipment, including projectors and sound systems worth crores, and a PA system worth lacs has been installed.
Vehicle Service
The JCPSC authority knows that transportation is important to students because it affects their access to schools, extracurricular activities, and work-based learning opportunities, thus impacting their opportunities for success. By acknowledging this fact, the JCPSC authority has developed a robust vehicle service for students and teachers, which includes 18 buses for students and a microbus for teachers. A brand new bus for the students and a sedan will be bought for the official purpose of the principal in the future. About 1,000 students are beneficiaries of this vehicle service. The JCPSC authority provides bus service to students living within a 40-kilometer radius of the campus on four separate routes.
Library
From the earliest period, the JCPSC Governing Body has emphasized the importance of libraries and always promoted a reading culture among students. By emphasizing that the governing body of JCPSC has established a library that contains 350 books on various subjects ranging from Bangladeshi History to the translation of ancient texts.
Laboratory
The Governing Body of JCPSC from the beginning emphasizes scientific education and promotes digitalization and integration of AI into the day-to-day affairs of the school. So, three distinctly well-furnished laboratories have been set up on campus under the guidance of our chief patron and the Chairman of JCPSC Brig. Gen. Selim Azad, Commander, 99 Composite Brigade. A well-furnished computer lab will be established at the school in the future.
Day Care
The JCPSC authority acknowledges that daycare provides a safe environment where little ones can explore to their hearts’ content and can keep working mothers stress-free. A daycare system comprised of well-trained staff and teachers ensures the best care and attention for the little ones. That’s why JCPSC authority, under the guidance of our chief patron and Chairman Brig. Gen. Selim Azad, Commander, 99 Composite Brigade, has set up a daycare facility on the school campus.
Canteen:
The JCPSC authority recognizes the importance of providing halal and nutritious food for the well-being of students and teachers. By admitting that the JCPSC authority had established a canteen for the students, guardians, and teachers with the assistance of the 27th RE Battalion of the Bangladesh Army.
Free Nursing:
The JCPSC authority acknowledges that students may need immediate paramedic assistance in case of smaller accidents, which are very common in schools around the world. Recognizing that the JCPSC authority employs a highly qualified BSC nurse and a nurse’s room with two beds has been incorporated.
Lift Service
The JCPSC authority provides lift facilities for disabled students so that they can move freely from one floor to another, and the lift facility also helps teachers move swiftly from one place to another inside the school building.
Auditorium
JCPSC currently has a smaller, makeshift auditorium with a seating capacity of 200 students located on the ground floor of the school. A large auditorium with a modern car parking facility will be constructed very soon.
